So, I'm going to be completely honest here. I feel like I should contribute more to this blog than just a summary of how classes are going. I feel like I'm in a perpetual state and I'm just repeating myself. You guys don't want that, right? I'm guessing not, so I figured this post would not be about classes at all, or rather, to try to avoid them as much as I can. I mean, this is Hopkins, right? :P
So, two weekends ago was Parent's Weekend. My parents did not come down to visit, but I hadexpected this. I mean, I do live a bit far from the school, so I knew they didn't want to drive 8 hours down to come visit. However, my sister was in the area after a wedding shower, so she stopped by on Sunday for some brunch. We went to Donna's, which wasn't too shabby price wise, and the food was really good! I really recommend getting brunch there. Maybe I can get my other sister to come visit sometime soon! Haha.
So, Parent's weekend was also Halloween weekend! For Halloween, I really didn't have a costume(I know, sad, right?), so I just dressed up a bit, gelled up my hair, and went to go have fun anyway. I went with some friends down to Fell's Point, and boy was that crazy! I felt as though all of Baltimore was crammed into that little block. However, I really didn't enjoy it that much. We couldn't really go anywhere, it was freezing, and we just kept on getting pushed and shoved. So then we came back to campus, but then went back towards Penn Station to go clubbing. That really didn't work out either, so then we just went to a friend's house because they were having a party. That was pretty lame too, so eventually a few of us just gave up and went back to campus, and I proceeded to pass out from exhaustion.
This past week was a bit more congested with work and whatnot, but I got through it, and finally the weekend was here. On Friday I pretty much chilled in my dorm. A bunch of us ordered Chinese food, and we were going to watch a movie, but by the time we could all reach a decision, it was about 2am and I had only gotten 2 hours of sleep the night/morning before, so I was just about done for the night. Haha. However, it was still a lot of fun just hanging out with kids in the dorm.
Saturday was more fun. I ended up going out with my friends to some parties, which was muchneeded. I just needed to de-stress and have some fun! So after we came back, we all just chilled in the Blue Jay Cafe (It's a social room sort of thing in AMR II), and had a lot of fun until the wee hours of the morning. It was fun. And then sunday morning I went out to brunch with some other people, once again, at Donna's. It was a lot of fun, and was nice to not have FFC for a change. Heh.
As for today, we had a guest speaker in my Mechanical Engineering class, where she discussed her work with NASA. It was very interesting to hear her story. NASA is something that has always interested me, and I hope to eventually work with them some day, or at least intern.
So yeah, I hope all is going well for everyone else. Here's to a nice week, and hopefully an even better weekend!

1- My sisters and I after my high school graduation. Notice how different we are. Haha.
2- My friend Connie and I trying to take a decent picture on Halloween. Didn't work out quite that well. Haha.
3- Yeah, these are the type of people I hang out with. -____-
Hmm, I don't know why that lounge is still called Blue Jay Café when there's no longer food being cooked/served/sold there. O.o
