So we had one of the best physics classes ever. We made hot dogs using electrical charge and conductors!
For those who have been keeping in touch with my blogs, all of the the freshman engineers, Brian, Peter, and I are taking General Physics 2 for Engineering Majors this semester. Our professor is Dr. Bob Leheny who is a great lecturer that tries to make every topic interesting.
This past Thursday, we were discussing resistance, and to introduce the concept of charge careers and conductors of electricity, he cooked hot dogs using a resistor! He also had hot dog buns and mustard, and he invited people to eat the hot dogs after they were cooked. Needless to say, they were very popular, and by the end of the class, all the hot dogs he cooked were promptly eaten by hungry college students.
If you look closely at the picture to the left, you can see the hot dog cooking, and the buns and mustard in the table in front of the professor. Sorry for the bad quality, I took it using my cellphone and was sitting in the back that day!
In other news, I finalized my housing for next year! I am officially living on McCoy 5th floor.
Alright, I'm off to a friend's room to eat some Indian food. Have a good weekend everyone!
