8:30am--Hear and ignore alarm clock. Go back to sleep.
8:40--Hear second alarm. Go back to sleep.
9:00--Hear roommates alarm clock. Get out of bed, grumpily. Realize that I told my boyfriend that I'd call and wake him up. His phone is off. Clearly he didn't feel like waking up either.
9:30--Eat bowl of cereal while checking email and trying to figure out what I need to do today.
9:45--Pack backpack for the library. This includes a ton of papers that I read in my Gender and International Development Class; a ton of notes that I took on books/during the semester. The Sound & The Fury and Great Gatsby. (Attempt is to write 2 papers today! or like, finish one and start the other)
9:58--Phone Rings; It's my boyfriend "Did you know my phone was off and so I didn't wake up and I'm late!" (Yes I know, I called).
10:00--Dress adequately because my weather widget says its 19 degrees outside. It is not 19 degrees its in the midthirties. This includes boots, fleece pants a big fleece, a down jacket and a hat. This much clothing was not necessary. Oh well.
10:05--Slip on the ice--ALMOST fall on my butt; but I saved myself. (It snowed Wednesday night and is sleeting out most of today.)
10:19--Stand in line at Cafe Q for coffee.
10:25--Order Double Short Skim Latte. I have a free coffee today (10 coffees you get a free one). The (male) barista (Baristus? what is male for barista) says "You know, you could just get like a mondo with 15 shots" me "uhhh yeah but it wouldn't stay hot would it?" "yeah but you could get anything!" me "Okay can I get a triple tall latte?" This made his day better. I saved more money in this big theoretical way. But I haven't finished my coffee and so its cold.
10:45--Arrive on D level. Secure Table. Spread out.
10:47--Realize I forgot my notebook. Sneak into the stairwell and call my roommates. Find one who is still home. Get him to bring it to me.
10:55--Start writing.
12:00pm--Go find roommate with notebook in Levering. It is sleeting out.
12:08--Run into Matt, a sophomore who was on my PreO last year! Yay, he makes everyone happy!
12:20--Return to D-Level. Continue Writing.
1:17--Jermaine from Hopkins Interactive comes downstairs to study also at D-Level in the Grad section. He usurps an "Assigned Graduate Workstation". I do not think this is allowed, but I let it go.
1:33--Eat Lifesaver--Power Food.
1:39--Change music from Wilco to Rihanna with hopes that I will type faster.
1:51--Midway through page 6 and my coffee is definitely cold. I am tempted to go up and explain to the barista-guy why I only wanted a short..... I don't know if he'll understand it.
2:04--Cute Jacket comes up on Steepandcheap.com the website I stalk for cheap outdoor gear. I have to convince myself that I don't need it (because I really don't). And it's only 53% off... Not that good.
2:08--re-focus.
2:22-- Plan breakfast date with Denise for tomorrow at 8:30am.
2:56-- Convince Ashley to bring me coffee on her way to the library... =)
3:00-- Sam (roommate) comes to visit to borrow my JCard. He works on M-Level, how social of him. He needs money to print his paper on Kant (he's done).
3:05--Sam returns my JCard and asks me if i'm coming to dinner. me:"Dinner?" apparently there are dinner plans; no I'm not going, I'm staying in the library. Obviously.
3:07--(Clearly this is a busy time) Ashley brings me coffee!! Yessssss.
3:27-- On Page 8 of my Paper.
3:37--Barnes & Noble burns their espresso. BAD.
4:15--Short Coffee & Fruit break with Ashley...
4:50--I learn my friend who has been abroad all semester is visiting so I have to find time tomorrow for a coffee. =)
5:18--Stealthily take a picture of D Level and am also on the last 1/3 of my paper!! Whoo.
5:38--Quick Chat with Julia (of Hopkins Interactive) online. We lamented about our respective papers and shared some quick gossip. ;)
6:15--My roommates try to get me to go to a party; what?!?!?! who has time for parties. They are weirdos.
6:30--Walked through the cold with Ashley to Donna's for dinner. Had a delicious Spinach Salad and Gnocchi! YUM.
7:44--Back to paper (on page 10).
8:02--Got distracted by Amazon...this girl in my class told me this book to read on Honor Killings which is what I'm writing my paper on--not my fault, Amazon is a distracting place.
8:37--Jermaine returns and asks if I've been here all day "ummmm, I left for dinner."
8:40-- Went to the bathroom and ran into Kate; if you think Hopkins interactive is full of cool kids, let me warn you--three of us are in the library on a Friday Night and the one who is "abroad" in DC, also working on a paper. Cool.
9:00--went upstairs for a phone call.
9:50--Got off the phone; Ran into Samuel my roommate. Looked briefly online at Christmas gifts.
9:55--Re disappeared to the Depths of the Library (D Level or the Dungeon).
10:27-- We are on D Level and Jermaine's phone goes off. He is in the bathroom so doesn't hear it; I do. If it were anyone but Jermaine I would glare. I like Jermaine so I laugh.
11:03-- 14 pages= done. Going Home. Finding Bed.
GOODNIGHT.
