I'm going to start by saying that over the past few months (almost year), I haven't seen much in the way of video games (excluding DDR, if it counts). But after my convention I decided I wanted to catch up on a few games. I found a good opportunity when I flew home last weekend for my nephew's birthday and I bought final fantasy XII, and now I'm completely obsessed.
Sidenote story: I had one of the worst travel experiences of my life last weekend. On the way going, my flight was three hours delayed, which was annoying, but I got over it. Then on the way back, my flight was supposed to be 6 P.M. on Sunday (arriving back in baltimore at 7), but then it was snowing in New York and I was flying out of LaGuardia airport, so the flight got cancelled and I got put on a 10:00. So they decided to board us early, at around 9:20, but then had to "wait for more passengers." 10 oclock rolls around, and they find out that the door on the plane is not functional, so they had to fix it or else it would fall off during flight. Around 11:00, they tell us that the door is fixed, but the plane is covered in ice, and so we have to wait to get de-iced. So we were supposedly 8th in line, but then at midnight, they told us that the trucks had run out of fluid and we were still 8th in line. Around 2:00, they finally start to spray down the plane, and we take off around 2:30 in the morning, and I didn't get back home to sleep til 4 A.M. And I am not one of those people who takes sleep lightly. Sleep is one of the most important things to me in the world, so 9 AM class was just not a pleasant thought at that point in my life. Fortunately, my day ends at noon on Monday so I had plenty of time to nap.
SO, back to final fantasy. Been spending WAY too much time playing the past few days, and have been pretty much ignoring everything/everyone else other than my schoolwork. Turns out I have a lot more free time than I thought. Or, more accurately, I'm allowing myself a lot more free time than I should. Either way, loving this game, and ::(disclaimer: the following message is not sponsored by Johns Hopkins University):: if you are a fan of the series I personally suggest you pick it up. So, that's all I have to say for now. Honestly haven't had much of a life the past week.
dude...seriously....you like anime and Final Fantasy.....and i'm gonna go for a stretch and say most RPGs in general. If I come to JHU in the fall, let's be friends
